The Board of Public Utilities is pleased to announce the appointment of Rodger A. Swanson to fill the Board of Directors seat vacated by Vern Dossett. His appointment by Mayor Tom Brown was approved by the City Commission and made effective May 7, 2018.
Mr. Swanson is a life-long resident of McPherson and a graduate of McPherson College. His commitment to the community is evidenced by his 42 years of work in the local and regional banking industry. Rodger served as President and Board Member of the McPherson Chamber of Commerce, McPherson County Red Cross and the All Schools Day Committee. He also served on the McPherson City Planning Commission, McPherson City-County Airport Board, King City Township Board and was a Charter Member of the McPherson Community Foundation.
