The McPherson Board of Public Utilities is currently accepting applications for a temporary, full-time position for Summer Maintenance with our Power Plant Operations Department.
Education and Experience Required
-Must be 18 years of age
-Previous mowing, weed eating, and other yard work experience helpful
-Mechanically inclined, but not required
-Possession of a valid Kansas driver’s license
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
-Reside within the designated residency limit of the BPU
-Acknowledge some adverse working conditions exist, including excessive noise and all types of weather conditions
-Perform mowing, weed eating, and other manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects up to 25 lbs., bending, kneeling, and climbing
-Must be able to follow directions and work independently
-May be some overtime, but only when authorized; and no other benefits apply to this position
