The McPherson Board of Public Utilities is currently accepting applications for a temporary, full-time position for AMI Water Meter Exchanger with our Water Distribution Department. This is a full-time, temporary position. Estimated duration for this position is 1 year.
Education and Experience Required
-Must be 18 years of age
-Mechanically inclined
-Operate a tablet
-Possession of a valid Kansas driver’s license
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
-Execute electronic work tickets and be detail oriented to ensure accuracy.
-Must be able to follow directions and work independently.
-Ability to interface with BPU customers and answer/address concerns when they arise.
-Strong organizational skills and self-driven to perform work in an efficient manner.
-Physical labor will be performed in the outdoors, requiring lifting and carrying heavy objects up
to 50 lbs., bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, climbing, and walking.
-May be some overtime, but only when authorized; and no other benefits apply to this position.
-Ability to provide own transportation, if possible, with reimbursement for at-work mileage.
Wage range starting at $20 – $25/hr. depending on qualifications.
Estimated time frame for this temporary, full-time position is one year.
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.
