The McPherson Board of Public Utilities delivers some of the lowest-cost and most reliable power and water in the State.  However, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do as well as we do it without our people.  For this reason want to showcase those people who make a great impact to our business and community with an “Employee Spotlight”

On Monday, September 26th, it was announced that the inaugural recipient was Robin Elsasser, whose title is officially, Administrative Assistant; however, she does so much more than that, including heading up the Human Resource function.

Robin is originally from Hanover, Kansas; however, she and her family have lived here for many years.

Outside of work, she loves doing things with her family, helping at church, going back home to her family’s farm, being outdoors, cooking, working in her flowerbeds, and tracing her family genealogy.

Robin joined the BPU 6.5 years ago.  She knew the BPU’s reputation for being a premier employer and its emphasis on having a good work/life balance.  When asked what she loves about working at the BPU, she stated, “I love what I do and enjoy working with people.”  If anyone is considering a career at BPU, know that It’s such a great place to work, and it feels like family.  There are so many opportunities for advancement.”

“Robin plays an integral role at our utility.  She performs multiple job functions as she serves as our Executive Assistant and Human Resource Officer. Robin interacts with every employee daily, and she does so with a big smile.  I know I speak for all BPU employees when I say Robin is one of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever worked with.  She deserves to be honored with our inaugural Employee Spotlight,” stated Josh Bedel, BPU General Manager.

Congratulations Robin!  Know you are appreciated!!
