As you may recall The McPherson Board of Public Utilities has contracted Midland GIS Solutions on two previous occasions to help convert existing electric and water maps, which were previously maintained by hand into an aerial image map of our water and electric system.

This time, they are adding to the detail by recording the location of the second secondary electric system, electric meters, and the street light system. Midland GIS employee, Mitchell Bradshaw, will be in McPherson recording the location of these items beginning August 8. Customers can expect to see Bradshaw around town and/or in their yards collecting the information. These projects are critical to improving BPU’s electric and water system operations.
